First, I've learned the value of a good team. My previous team got along well enough, but we were constantly stalling. The current team I have now works much more smoothly. I'll assume it's mostly because the group is really small, me and one other person, instead of the five people last time. I feel like I'm improving with my writing, which is real neat. I'm trying to work on describing scenes now, giving enough detail to draw interest, but not so much it gets in the way. An exercise I've decided to try is take a scene from a video game that I'm familiar with, and try to well, write it. It's much easier writing this kind of exercise in 3rd person, I've noticed. I've written two so far (though I think I've given up on the first for the time being), both from Metroid games. The first describing Samus landing on Zebes to search for the baby metroid, and the second describing Samus's fight with Ridley at the Artifact Temple on Tallon IV.
